Follow these steps to replace your Rocna or Vulcan anchor label properly:
-
Remove the old label by carefully sliding a razor knife between the anchor and the label to cut through the adhesive.
-
Scrape off the old adhesive using a razor knife, putty knife, or scraper. Be careful not to scratch the anchor surface outside the label area.
-
Clean off any remaining residue with acetone. Make sure the surface is clean and completely dry before applying the new label.
-
Peel off the backing from the new label. Line it up carefully, then apply starting from one side and pressing firmly across to the other.
-
Press down firmly by hand over the entire label to ensure strong adhesion.
-
(Optional) A thin clear film may be covering the label to protect it during shipping. If so, peel it off gently from one corner. A fingernail usually works well—just take care not to scratch the label underneath.
That’s it—your anchor is labeled and ready to go.
